If you use this Site your use of the Site will be governed by these terms and conditions (“Terms & Conditions”).

Please note that we may from time to time alter these Terms & Conditions and the terms and conditions which shall apply from time to time shall be those at the time of access. You should therefore check this website from time to time to review the current terms and conditions then applying
This agreement governs the use of the First for Divorce website, including all associated and incidental services provided by First for Divorce resulting from the use of this site. Your use of the First for Divorce website constitutes your binding acceptance of these terms and conditions, including any changes or modifications made by First for Divorce as permitted above. Divorce Information Guide & Forms
You may not publish, transmit, transfer or sell, reproduce, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display, or in any way exploit any of the Content, in whole or in part, except as expressly permitted in this Agreement.
You may download or copy the information and advice contained on the site for your own personal use only, provided that you maintain all copyright and other notices contained in such Content.
In no event shall First for Divorce be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of the documents, this Web site or the support service whether based in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise, except in relation to death or personal injury for which no limit shall apply. The liability of First for Divorce for direct loss arising out of the use of the documents, this Web site, and the support service whether based in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise is limited to the total value of the transactions under which the claim arises for any one event or series of connected events.
Every endeavor will be taken to ensure that the Divorce Guide and Forms are updated regularly to ensure its accuracy. It is our belief that our Divorce Guide and Forms provide users with the necessary legal documents and information to complete their divorce. Our Divorce Guide and Forms are for information purposes only and does not provide legal advice, we recommend that you take the advice of a solicitor before proceeding.

Statutory Rights

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

Delivery Times
We will make every reasonable effort to dispatch your completed divorce petition the same day, if submitted before 5.30pm Monday to Friday (excluding National UK holidays) or within 48 hours if the completed divorce petition is submitted outside the stated working hours.

Cancellation Policy

Users purchasing the First for Divorce  package online will not be eligible to cancel their order as transactions where the computer software is unsealed by the computer immediately on purchase is exempt under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

Refund Polic

Any use of our service requires the client to utilise our automated software (where the computer software is ‘unsealed’ by the computer immediately on purchase). All transactions of this type are exempt under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
Therefore, ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE even if you were to change your mind. However we will voluntarily provide a refund to you within 7 days of purchase as long as the documents have not been processed and sent to you from our severs by e-mail or post.
If the documents have left our e-mail server or have been posted, then our liability for a refund ceases.
If you provide us with an unusable or incorrect e-mail address or the e-mail is not delivered or the post office fails to deliver, then we shall not be liable in that event.
By using our services and products you agree to our Terms and Conditions.

Customer Care/Complaints

We have always prided ourselves in providing a full customer care service and it is our intention to deal promptly with all complaints that may arise in relation to the service that we provide within 14 days of receipt of the complaint. Normally, replies to any complaint would be made by E-mail or post or, if required, we can ensure that we can provide a telephone facility to discuss matters of a more complex nature if so required.

Intellectual Property Rights

First for Divorce asserts all of its intellectual property rights and in particular relating to the content of this Site including without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing copyright, design right and database right. You are prohibited from copying modifying or incorporating into any other work part or all of any content of this Site save that you may:-

  1. Print or download part or all of the content on this Site for your personal and non-commercial use; or
  2. Copy all or any of the content for the purpose of non-commercial transmission of information to a third party subject to the provision that you make them aware that they are bound by the Terms and Conditions as they apply at the date of your download, copying, modification or incorporation and also to the further provision that the Moral Rights of First for Divorce are asserted.

You may not use the Web site or the documents for any other purpose except for your own personal use. You may however use the documents as many times as you wish, however we recommend that you check with First for Divorce regularly to ensure that the documents are the latest versions before reuse.

First for Divorce shall from time to time include (hypertext) links within this Site to other website for the purposes of interest. We do not control the content of these third party websites and therefore we do not accept responsibility or liability in respect of the content of any such third party website or websites. You link to these third party websites entirely at your own risk.
Furthermore we do not endorse the owners or contents of, or products and services advertised marketed or sold on any such third party website

  1. All documentation and advice contained on the www.firstfordivorce co.uk web site relates to proceedings lodged in Courts in England and Wales and not in any other region of the United Kingdom or outside the United Kingdom.
  2. First for Divorce documentation has no jurisdiction or legality in countries such as other members of the European Union or the United States or Canada.
  3. This agreement is covered by the Laws of England and Wales. Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved. These terms and conditions shall not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

2) Limitations

  1. First for Divorce provides purchasers with documents and advice on the completion of documents required to initiate matrimonial proceedings in England and Wales.
  2. First for Divorce does not supply actual or general legal advice in such proceedings and no such legal advice should be implied in the use of this service.
  3. First for Divorce does not accept liability or responsibility for any additional advice that users seek in conjunction with their documentation and/or advice.
  4. First for Divorce does not accept any liability in relation to any actual proceedings issued by users whether divorce proceedings or ancillary relief proceedings.
  5. First for Divorce provides documentation on the understanding that users are acting in person in relation to proceedings.
  6. First for Divorce provides documentation for uncontested divorces in England and Wales only.
  7. Documents and advice contained on the First of Divorce web site are not made available for any other purpose.

3) General
